Then as I got into reading the first book, Aquamarine, I kept feeling I had seen a movie like this. Then it dawned on me that Aquamarine the movie was very like this book. Then I worried that somehow the book or the movie was a rip off. Finally, I did my research. The other story is about a girl and her two friends who are brothers who feel trapped in a small town that lives high and dry and the whole town seems to be afraid of water.
