Chris Craft boat & .for You?

SEABUDDY Chris Craft boat .for You? Let seabuddy say that this is a nice boat and it comes with a great history. I print the owner’s story he sent me here… The story of my involvement with this 1932 Chris Craft, 18 Foot Split Cockpit started with a phone call from my Father in the Summer of 2005. A collector, R. Clayton of Livonia New York was selling his collection for health reasons. He had a barn full of boats all in different conditions. We purchased the 1932 with trailer and towed it home. More photos and words on the second page. The boat came with a Chrysler Marine engine and boxes full of trim pieces, many that did not match this model. The boat had gotten a start to the restoration ...

Chris Craft Commander Forum: Corinthian 38

Big, stylish, roomy, and fun Chris Craft August 1 2011, 11:03 AM My first thought was the 1965-1967 (Sea Skiff) wood CORINTHIAN, which did indeed, come with 427 motors and must have been one rocket ship of a fast boat weighing in at 15,700 to 16,300 depending on power options, which also included 327 and diesel. Since you mentioned 1978 that is most likely referring to the Coho Corinthian. That boat has about an additional foot of beam, it weighs in a little heavier than the 39 Commander even though the hull portion of the boat itself may not be as grossly over-built as the 38 Commander. The boat is as you noted quite a bit taller, the center of gravity would likely be higher but the additional ...

Boat Life Style-Premier Marine

Things You Need to Think About if You’re Looking to Buy a New or Second Hand Boat! I had a customer who visited us at the Boat Show last year. He’d just purchased a brand new Glastron and he was so excited about his purchase, until, that is, he stumbled upon our Chris Craft. Immediately he knew, he’d chosen the wrong boat. He decided to purchase our new Chris Craft and sold his brand new boat, which hadn’t even been delivered. As a result he did experience a financial loss in having to do this. He was happy with his decision, however and he loves sending me update photos and telling me just how much attention he gets when he is out cruising around Sydney Harbour. Boats ...

Down To The Sea In Anything — 06.02.69 — SI Vault

Down To The Sea In Anything The psalmist sang of those that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters, but today the big business of going down to the sea (some $3.15 billion in 1968 alone) is done ashore as more and more Americans climb aboard more and more craft to have more and more fun on the water. According to a recent survey conducted by the boating trade, 725 companies were offering U.S. customers a choice of 4,000 stock boat models at the start of this year, and that figure (which is probably already out of date) does not include any of the custom-tailored goldplaters or make-do mavericks preferred by yachting’s rugged individualists. Today’s boats and ...

Glastron GT 225 Highlights Need for Objective Comparison |

The Chris-Craft 22 Launch was #1 in range at best cruise at 235 miles. Why a Boat Caught Our Eye Two weeks ago, while doing some unrelated research, we happened to stumble onto one of those cases where reality intruded upon our perception. We wrote that while doing research and scanning a page of numbers, the Glastron GT 225 caught our eye. The reason it caught our eye was because its performance numbers were better than our perception of where Glastron should have ranked — and in fact was well above the mean numbers for the 20 boats in our comparison of objective data points! Several of our readers had the same perception and bluntly told us so. As it turns out, we were both operating ...
