It is going on six years since the father and son team, John and Adam Waters, took on the task of marketing Beneteau powerboats in Australia and New Zealand.

Headquartered on Jones Bay Wharf, a short walk from Sydney’s Darling Harbour, they are the principal distributors of the renowned marque for Australia and New Zealand, and have already established authorised dealerships in Queensland, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and New Zealand.

With John and Adam sharing the helm of the business and John’s wife (and Adam’s mother) handling office administration, JW Marine certainly qualifies as a family business.

The company also employs two skilled staff to handle after sales service.

A member of the Boating Industry Association of NSW, JW Marine stages prominent displays at the nation’s major boat shows and as Adam recently explained the company was ‘looking forward with keen anticipation’ to the approaching Sydney International Boat Show (July 31-August 5).

‘We had an excellent result at the recent Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and we believe that it, together with the Sydney show, strongly represents our specific market,’ he said.

‘Western Australia’s Mandurah show was another to return good results and we’ll certainly be there again next year.’

JW Marine is responsible for the complete range of Beneteau powerboats, comprising four separate series of boats, the outboard-powered ‘Flyer’ runabouts, the Mediterranean-style ‘Monte Carlo’ sportboats, the versatile ‘Antare’s’ range of cruising and fishing boats and the latest release, the superb Swift Trawler 52.

The company unveiled the delightful trawler-style yacht last week and have expressed confidence it will attract plenty of admiration when it debuts at the Sydney show.

Designed by renowned Beneteau naval architects Michel Joubert and Bernard Nivelt, the Beneteau Swift Trawler 52 is a semi-displacement vessel offering exceptional live aboard comfort and first class sea keeping abilities.

‘The Swift Trawler has a lot going for it,’ Adam Waters explained. ‘It has a luxurious interior, dual diesel power and a hull that can handle conditions likely to be encountered on long range cruises. ‘We believe it will impress any and all who may be in the market for such a vessel,’ he added.

JW Marine certainly seems to have the right approach.

A range of craft with a well deserved reputation worldwide, authorised dealerships across the nation and across the Tasman, and impressive exhibits at the major boat shows.

‘We’re looking confidently to the future and we firmly believe that with the range of boats we can offer, the future is bright,’ Adam waters added.

‘Call by and see as at the Sydney International Boat Show – I’m certain you’ll be impressed.’
