A Bayliner 3218 MY is a rare find on the Texas Coast! This is a great, affordable family cruiser with an innovative interior layout. Built in Washington State, this boat is very popular and highly sought after, in the Northwest. This boat has also served well for fishing along the Texas Gulf Coast and in the local bays. This 3218 is powered by most economical twin turbo 140 hp diesel engines. An additional custom 70 gal fuel tank provides extended cruising range. The Bayliner 3218 MY is very comparable to the later Bayliner 3288 MY.

Amidships and below the raised salon is the master stateroom consisting of a vanity with sink and storage, a king size berth, and its own reverse cycle A/C. The insulated aft bulkhead of the master stateroom also contains two insulated panels providing access to the forward end of the main engines, the Racor Fuel separators/filters, and engine and generator sea suction strainers. In the master stateroom sole is the access to 1 auto cycle bilge pump.

The 8 kW Kohler generator can carry the electrical 120 volt for the boat. To PORT in the cockpit is a cabinet with sink, pressurized water faucet, and storage. Amidships is a teak-tread ladder to the fly bridge. STBD is the salon entry door. There is full enclosure for the cockpit.

Cockpit Gunwales

The Cockpit gunwales are capped with teak. There is also a raised teak railing on the transom providing additional safety for crew and passengers in heavy weather. Two sections of the railing can be raised to give better access to the swim platform and boarding ladder.

Swim Platform

The swim platform has a detachable stainless steel boarding ladder.

Flybridge

The Flybridge has a second set of helm controls, instruments, VHF radio, depth sounder, GPS, horn, high intensity light ( auto sweep, auto SOS, and flood or spot). Side Decks, Foredeck, Bowsprit and Bow

The stainless steel bow pulpit rail surrounds a bowsprit with anchor roller and anchor. The bow pulpit rail extends aft PORT and STBD to the cockpit. Ample side decks, with stainless steel stations and rails, provide safe passage to the foredeck. Stainless steel fender holders are mounted on the foredeck rails. There is a hatch in the forward cabin top to the forward berth. There is a Lofrans electric anchor wildcat/windlass to handle the rode from the chain locker.
