ATLANTIS 55

Strong of the success gained by her younger sisters and by a consolidated position of the Gobbi brand within the Azimut/Benetti group, the Piacenza-based yard continues in designing new models extending the fortunate Atlantis range.

The Atlantis 55, currently the flagship of the range, fills in the gap of a market sector developed over the last years that, both for the requests of a demanding and watchful clientele, as well as for the finishing level requested on this type of yachts, is starting to be ever more difficult to meet. This does not seem to have freightened Gobbi designers who, in our opinion, expressed, in the best way possible, the compromise between a sportsboat with an innovative and aggressive outside line and the habitability on deck as well as belowdecks intended for guests’ utmost comfort.

The futuristic shape of the deck structure is seductive and gives the yacht an aggressive and rakish look. The trueopen philosophy may be appreciated inside the cockpit, in fact direct contact with the sea under way may be fully appreciated thanks to the ample windows and the transparent hard top, the forward part of which slides open by means of an electric control thus exposing the central part of the yacht.

This part was smartly conceived with an appropriate blend of gregarious areas linked to one another by ample sunbeds. The area covered by the hard top is provided with air conditioning and it may be heated in wintertime. Under the aft sunbed, which raises by means of a hydroelectric mechanism, there is the ample tender garage. Belowdecks, the elegance of the light interiors in bleached oak is tangible, in particular as regards furnishing, bulkhead lining, ceilings and cabinets.

The sea trials, carried out in moderate seas, highlighted the considerable stability of the Atlantis 55, favored by the substantial displacement of the yacht. The assemblies on the dashboard, excessively subject to vibrations, can be improved.
