General Details

Alacrity is an absolutely beautiful 2002 Azimut 55 Flybridge. The love and care that she has received is evident from the dock to the engine room. She has consistently been maintained and updated. She is in near pristine condition.

Upon approaching the vessel you will first notice that she outshines anything else on the docks. As you board the vessel you will be impressed with the outstanding installation of the Nuteak swim platform cockpit. Good luck telling the difference between this Nuteak and the real thing, plus it requires less maintenance.

She boast one of the best bridge arrangements that I have ever seen. Perfect for entertaining!

The salon shows like new, because it is! It is spacious and beautiful.

She is equipped with a well appointed galley, three staterooms, and two heads.

The master is mid-ship, spacious, and well lit, thanks to the large hull-side windows.

Alacrity — Distinctive Features:

Engines: The engines in the boat were replaced in 2006 with the newer version Cat C12 Acert engines, rated at 715 HP each. The engines have only 600 hours.

Teak: The 10 year old teak cockpit and swim platform decking was replaced in 2011 with all new Nuteak brand synthetic decking. The Nuteak representative called the installation one of the best he has seen.

Exterior: All of the exterior gelcoat has a nice shine. The boat receives bi-weekly cleaning, and a wax job every 3 months.

Storage: Custom aluminum and Starboard shelving was installed in the lazarette, greatly improving storage capability and convenience.

Dinghy: Dinghy storage is provided on the flybridge leaving unobstructed swim platform access. Storage includes a new custom stainless steel dinghy cradle, 660 lb crane, and new heavy duty remote control.

Interior: New ultraleather upholstery, and new carpeting, was installed in the salon in 2011.

Mechanical: All bilge pumps, sump pumps, and fresh water pumps were replaced with new American versions in 2011.

Exhaust: The current owner was aware of several instances where Azimut exhausts systems had failed, due to inadequate structural support, and poorly designed flex connections. While there was never a failure on this boat, the owner elected to proactively install an entirely new exhaust system, with dual structural supports, all designed and constructed by D’Angelo Marine exhaust. All parts are American design, and readily available.

Navigation Systems: (2) new Raymarine E120 series chartplotters, and (1) E80 chartplotter, were installed new in 2010. The system was upgraded, in 2011, with a Raymarine DSM sounder as a backup, a Sirius satellite weather module, and a 2nd backup GPS receiver. All systems, including the autopilot systems, are integrated through the Raymarine Seatalk system.

Bottom Paint: In 2011, all bottom paint was stripped down to the fiberglass, and an Interlux 2000 barrier coat system was applied. Several coats of Micron 66 bottom paint were subsequently applied over the barrier coat.
